John A. Hernandez is a writer, comedian and actor from New York City. Stan the Mechanic is his first television show which he created, wrote and co-executive produced.

As a child of the 80’s he grew up during the golden age of horror and clocked countless hours watching these movies in the company of the legendary horror hosts of the time. The creation of Stan the Mechanic is the fruition of a lifelong dream working in the genre he loves.

In addition to having lots of fun, John envisions Stan’s show as a place to showcase queer horror, celebrate ethnic diversity, embrace body positivity and lovingly embrace the spectrum of gender expression. Since he is an out, gay, plus size person of color he felt very strongly about making Stan a welcoming and safe space for all fans of horror.

He is also a published author writing as both Stan and himself for Bear World Magazine.

It is the honor of his life to be able to bring his creation to your screens. He hopes you have as much fun watching it as he had making it.
